Child Safety Information
Preventable injuries are the #1 killer of kids in the U.S. Every year, 8,000 families lose a child because of a preventable injury. When a child dies, the lives of families are changed forever. This is a problem we can fix. No parent should have to endure the loss of a child. Help us give all children the chance to grow up and become whatever they can imagine.
Kootenai Health offers FREE Car Seat Inspections!!
The public is welcome. Bring your car seat and we'll make sure it's installed properly. Inspections are held throughout the year. For specific dates and times call (208) 625-4642.
What is a concussion?
A concussion is a type of traumatic brain injury. Concussions are caused by a bump or blow to the head. Even a “ding,” “getting your bell rung,” or what seems to be a mild bump or blow to the head can be serious.
